Terms of Service

This is a draft agreement published to support private-beta account sign-in. It has not yet been reviewed by qualified legal counsel (tracked as YOU-50) and will be replaced before any public launch. Governing law and dispute-resolution terms are intentionally left for that review rather than guessed at here.

1. Eligibility

Companion Worlds is for adults aged 18 and older only. By using it you confirm you are at least 18. Access during this beta is invite-only; you agree to use your invitation code only as intended and not to share or resell it.

2. What Companion Worlds is

Companion Worlds provides text conversations with fictional adult companion characters, plus generated images, video, and voice audio. Companions are fictional and do not represent real people. Companion Worlds is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, or an emergency service, and should not be relied on as one. If you are in crisis or need emergency help, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line, not this product.

3. Beta status

This is an early, invite-only private beta. Features, availability, and content may change or be removed at any time without notice, and the service may be interrupted, reset, or discontinued. Companion Worlds is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. We may suspend or revoke access — including previously admitted invitations — at our discretion, including for suspected abuse, violation of these terms, or to protect the beta.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Companion Worlds if you are under 18;
• attempt to bypass invitation, admission, or bot-protection controls;
• use the service for anything illegal, or to generate content involving minors or non-consensual depictions of real people;
• attempt to extract, scrape, or reverse engineer the service beyond normal use;
• interfere with the security, stability, or availability of the service.

6. Content and generated media

You retain rights to the messages and prompts you contribute. Companion responses and generated images/video/audio are provided for your personal, non-commercial use during the beta. We may use aggregated, de-identified information about beta usage to operate and improve the service. Formal licensing terms for generated media will be finalized as part of the pending legal review.

7. Payments

During this beta, any billing integration operates in test mode only, for named testers, using test payment data — no real charges occur through it. Real, live-mode billing is out of scope for this beta and will be covered by updated terms if and when it is introduced.

8. Termination

You may stop using Companion Worlds at any time and request account deletion by emailing companionworlds@gmail.com. We may suspend or end your access at any time, particularly given this is an early-stage beta.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Companion Worlds and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this beta. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

Because this is a draft pending legal review, these terms may change materially before public launch. We will update the date above when we do.
